Wednesdays February 14th, 21st & 28th from 1 -3 pm
In this 2 class series you will learn to knit your first cables with a small group. You will have loads of support and a experienced teacher in Diane Richer to answer all your questions.
You will learn techniques for knitting in the round, ribbing, working cables, picking up stitches and kitchener stitch.
This project will help you learn and understand reading knitting patterns and the acronyms for cable stitches. You will be working flat and then taught how to sew the ends together to make the loop design and then learn the technique of picking up stitches to add the ribbing. This makes a very cozy shrug for your shoulders or even over a coat.
Material list will be emailed to you after you register.
The yarn is a chunky weight carried with a mohair yarn. We will have a number of yarn choices and colours available at the shop.
This will be a small class of 5 people with everyone sitting separately and well distanced and wearing masks.
