Lesley Snyder, owner of Rosehaven Yarn Shop, will be teaching a you the basics of dyeing yarn. We will be dyeing a sock blank which is a knitted rectangle that is meant to be dyed and then unraveled to be knit with.
The best part of a sock blank is that you can create strips and ombrés that when you knit with it the socks come out with your designs in the knitting!
Each sock blank is fingering weight yarn with 437 yards of yarn so enough for a pair of socks or a small shawl.
This class will be for perfect for your first attempt at dyeing yarn and will cover the basics of prep, dye mixing and knowing when the process is complete. For anyone that has dyed yarn before we will also go over colour mixing and blending colours on the yarn.
You will get 2 sock blanks to get creative with!
All materials and dyes will be included in this class.
It is a small class of only 6 spots and they fill up fast so don't miss out!
