Tiny orange sweater display

This window display of small orange sweaters is now at 396. We wanted to show our empathy to the survivors and people affected by the horrors of our Indigenous Residential Schools in Canada. We are looking to add more right up until Sept. 30th which is Residential School day.

A community of knitters created this!

Each little sweater is unique and as individual as the child it represents.

Thank you to the wonderful knitters that helped build this impactful display.

Estelle Yarns in Toronto donated orange yarn for the project. We are happy to receive more from our knitters. I am hoping to reach 751 in total. Any design in a shade of orange is welcome, knit or crochet. Google mini sweater pattern and VOILA! you will find loads of them!

Adding numbers for each graveyard found

This little sweater I pinned on my shirt. I have embroidered the numbers for each gravesite that is found.

Lovely and helpful staff and an awesome selection of wool, books, knitting needles also in the fall lovely knit hats and matching gloves. A huge wall with embroidery threads with hoops available.

Tuesday afternoon knitting with a tea, with lovely knitters from all over and that is sometimes me!

A brilliant experience! Such a fresh, inviting look with finished projects to inspire. I loved that I could seek assistance if I needed it, but could feel free to browse and feel the fabulous textures of yarns for as long as I pleased. An abundant collection of varied yarns and weights and colours and a wide selection of needles and buttons and shawl pins.

I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience, and can hardly wait to go back!
