This is something a bit special and has a story!
Lesley was asked to dye purple to support a Pancreatic Cancer awareness project for November when one of our own, Mary, lost her fight this past March.
Mary's knitting friends have designed a shawl that is now for sale on Ravelry with 100% of the proceeds going to Pancreatic Cancer Research. (This pattern can be created using fingering, DK & worsted weight yarns. Plus there is a crochet version as well!)
Since that request Lesley has been given her own diagnosis of Colon Cancer. So with that in mind Lesley decided to run with what the universe was handing out and create a new line called FU Cancer!
Each skein sold will give a $1 to cancer research.
The colour names are Lesley's creation and are not intended to offend anyone. The more we talk and share our stories the more strength we give each other and laughter is the best medicine in the world to fight the big C!
Our FU Cancer yarn is 212m of DK weight, hand dyed 100% Superwash Merino with a sprinkling of Neon Neps that glow in the dark under UV light!
Suitable for all knitted garments, including socks on a tight gauge.
