This blend is made with 100% Maori wool (about 27 microns).
This carded wool batting is fantastic to use when needle felting and felts faster than the Merino roving/top.
This batting is sold in 10 gram portions. Most small projects need at least 20 grams.

"Maori" is a blend of carded wools from New Zealand. When we started developing this article in 2007, we wanted a perfect wool for needle felting with a beautiful natural color that would allow us to create bright colors but also delicate pastel nuances. Test after test we have arrived at this blend which is now one of our iconic products, loved by both beginners and the more experienced. We could not choose a less iconic name: Maori. A small tribute to a great people and to the land of origin of these wools!
The wools in this blend are carefully selected so as to guarantee constant quality over time. All lots are MULESING FREE. The dyes comply with the Oeko Tex Standard 100 parameters and are made in our dye house in Italy which is GOTS 5.0 and GRS certified.
***These types of wool are washed before carding however it is not possible to completely remove the vegetable impurities.
This blend is perfect for both needle and wet felting and spinning .
