Wet Felting Fun with Lesley!
Join fibre artist Lesley Snyder for a lighthearted afternoon of hands-on intro to wet felting—no experience needed and perfect for ages 8 to 100.
This activity is physically active and you will be standing for a large part of the time. Felting involves a lot of rolling the piece on a table while pushing down on it. Your arms get a bit of a workout... so you have been warned! Anyone of reasonably good health can manage this class.
In this fun & friendly class, you’ll learn how to lay out roving wool and blend the colours, as well as think in an abstract form to see flowers and leaves within the felted background. We will play with what works to create embellishments on the surface of the wool, what felts and what doesn't felt!
Then on the 2nd day we will explore adding thread and beads to create our garden of flowers & fauna.
All supplies are included—just bring your enthusiasm and a sense of adventure!
Lesley has been felting for over a decade and has shown her award-winning creations in galleries and art shows across the region. She’s excited to share her tips, tricks, and love of woolly creativity with you.
